Well I have spent a few days away relaxing ready for a really busy schedule during the Aussie Millions. My first event is the opening event which I will play flight 1b on Friday. Hopefully I wont have to repecharge on the Saturday!
The break has been good for me and I have not been playing online either so I am really looking forward to playing. I find taking a small break from poker (even 4-5 days) before a big tournament series really works well for me. The break really makes me miss playing and I feel excited and motivated to get back on the table.
I have my good friend Brendon Rubie and his gorgeous girlfriend Laraine coming to stay with us during the tournament series. I also stay with them when I travel to Sydney for tournaments and I cant wait for them to arrive tomorrow night. It will be good to have them here especially during the days off when we can get out and have some fun.
I will be updated my blog a lot during the Aussie Millions Series and will look forward to any feedback about difficult situations or hands I find myself in.
Anyway going to have a hit of tennis today with another Melbourne poker player Andy Hinrichsen. It should be a good afternoon coz he definately has no chance of winning!

Ready or not 2011 here I come!
Why Blog?????
Even though my husband is a Mental Conditioning Coach to some of the worlds best poker players and I have him by my side for this journey, our close relationship makes it difficult talking to him about the crazy highs and lows of this emotional rollercoaster that is Poker!
I have my family and friends surrounding me for support but they do not really understand the game of poker let alone the life of a Full Time poker player. This can be a good thing as it means we hardly ever speak about poker unless we are talking about were my travels have taken me.
I have met so many awesome people through poker but there are hardly any Australian Female Full-Time players. The male poker friends I have made along the way are great guys, but, well you can imagine some of the antics and table conversations after being the only girl at dinner night after night. Let's just say they treat me like 'one of the boys' and I don't mind hearing about their escapades but it would be nice to have some female company just for a bit of balance.
Anyway I have decided to start this blog for several reasons.

Anyway I have decided to start this blog for several reasons.
- Firstly it is for myself, and a way that I can express my thoughts and experiences along the way, both the good and the bad. I will use this like a diary tool.
- Secondly, it will help me get some stuff off my chest and save everyone else from hearing me whinge. Hopefully helping me to analyse situations better in a non emotional way. I hope that some of my ramblings in my blogs are of some interest to others and I will also welcome any feedback or comments. Occasionally I will post some hands and it would be great to create any discussion regarding these hand situations but again it will be beneficial to me to consider the way I played a hand in a logical and rational way and hopefully learn something from it.
- The other thing I would like to achieve from this blog is to inspire more females to start playing poker more seriously. It is one of the few competitive environments where males and females have an even playing field. I am just an everyday female trying to make a living playing poker and I hope this shows other females that they can do it as well.
